    Vintage 30’s German Hip Flask

    Little bottles like these were traditionally brought on hunts so the thirsty hunter could take a quick sip of whisky every now and then.
    It was made by F. H. Haupt in the German city of Hamburg.
    The flask was decorated with a protective leather covering!

    This piece would still come in handy on a hunting or hiking trip but would also be the perfect addition to any cabin decor or collection!

    After almost a century the flask still remains in good condition but shows signs of wear and use.

    This antique figure was traditionally hand carved out of one single piece of wood in the Black forest area in Germany and Switserland. It’s a fine example of the great craftsmanship the area got famous for and shows beautiful details!

    This carving would be the perfect addition to decorate your desk with, or to put on a shelve shelf in your cabin!

    After more than a century the wood carving shows minor signs of wear.
    In my eyes the patina it acquired due to time only adds to it’s charm!

    Due to years of use it acquired a nice patina that only adds to its rugged character!

    Vintage 1950′ Swiss Army Tornister

    Vintage 1950′ Swiss army issued cowhide mountaineers rucksack,
    also know as the Haaraffe tornister and became a classic in our collection!

    These very rucksacks were introduced to the Swiss Army in 1898 and
    remained unchanged until 1950 because of their decent design.

    The bag features multible compartments inside that can be folded open and a small compartment on front.

    The rucksack has an outside covering made of cowhide, this is from where
    the bag got it’s German nickname ‘haaraffe tornister’, which means ape backpack.
    The inside of the backpack is lined with canvas.

    After 80 years the tornister remains in worn condition and shows some traces of wear as it stood the test of being used for years.
    Some of the hairs have come off of the cow skin outer lining but it doesn’t show any bald spots.
    There is a small hole in the skin cover of the front pocket.

    Vintage 40’s USAAF ANJ-4 flight jacket

    This heavy duty flight jacket was first introduced in 1943 by the US Air Force and issued to their flight crews during the war. It was the last sheepskin flying jacket they would make, replacing the iconic B3 jacket.
    It features a timeless, rugged design with double front pockets, extra patched sleeves and large sheepskin collar and lining to withstand the freezing tempratures of high altitudes!

    Although due to its current condition it might not be wearable anymore it would still make an awesome decor piece or collectable for any WWII or USAAF enthousiast!

    After 80 years and surviving the harsh conditions of the war this jacket remains in a distressed condition.
    The outer sheep leather shows mutiple rips and a distressed patina it acquired due to wear and time.
    Except of minimal treatment I decided to leave the jacket in its original condition and leave it up to the next owner to either keep it that way or fully restore it. After some love it might be wearable again!
