Antique Early 1900’s Firefighter’s Axe

Antique early 1900’s firefighter’s axe

This large axe was hand forged in the early 1900’s and was used by firefighters to smash open doors and windows in burning buildings.

It would be a very cool decor piece to any cabin, lodge or man cave!

After more than a century of use the axe remains in worn condition. Both the iron blade as the long wooden handle show a lovely distressed patina which only adds to their character by giving the axe a rough touch.
It has been treated with antique wax to give the surface a protective layer and a subtle glossy finish.

Measurements:
Lenght: 100 cm
