Vintage Taxidermy King Fisher
€325.00Vintage Taxidermy Kingfisher – Alcedo atthis
This beautiful vintage taxidermy common kingfisher originates from France and dates to the 1950s. The iconic bird has remarkably retained its vivid blue and orange plumage and has been expertly mounted on a natural tree stump. It is presented beneath a beautiful glass dome, creating an elegant and timeless display.
A rare and atmospheric piece, this is a unique opportunity to acquire one of Europe’s most striking native birds. It would make a wonderful addition to a taxidermy collection, cabinet of curiosities, or characterful interior.
Despite its considerable age, the specimen remains in good vintage condition and displays only light signs of age consistent with its history, adding to its authentic charm. It has remained free from pest damage over the years and shows no bald spots or feather loss. Please note that the glass dome has a crack on the rear side.
You are, of course, very welcome to view the piece in person by appointment. Worldwide shipping is also available, and the specimen will be packaged with the utmost care to ensure it arrives safely. Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description and condition report.
