Antique early 1900’s badger shoulder mount – ‘Meles meles’
This beautiful tophy was mounted in France in the beginning of the 20th century. It was professionally mounted in a very accurate, natural looking posture and features an oak shield plaque.
It would be the perfect decor piece to display above the fire place or on the wall of your cabin, lodge or man cave!
After a century the mount remains in worn condition and shows multiple signs of wear. Over the years it acquired a discolored patina which adds charm to its rough character.
The plaque shield is treated with antique wax to give the surface a protective layer and a subtle glossy finish. It stills shows its real teeth which implicated that its skull still must be inside the mount.

This species of small antelope lives in Africa. This small trophy mount was brought to Europe as a colonial curiosity!
The skull was mounted on a wooden stand that can also be hung horizontally.

This antique ashtray, featuring a basket carrying and pipe smoking bear figure, was traditionally hand carved out of hard wood in the Black forest area in the Swiss city of Interlagen. It’s a fine example of the great craftsmanship the area got famous for and shows beautiful details and features small glass eyes. It was originally made as an ashtray with the basket of the bear as a match holder but could also be used as a trinket dish and pen holder!

Antique 19th Century haut relief of a hunting scene
This antique relief was carved into cream coloured alabaster and shows a detailed hunting scene with four man on horseback accompanied by a hunting dog chasing a wild boar.
