Antique early 1900’s Swiss Black Forest bear ashtray
This unique piece of folk art was traditionally hand carved out of hard wood in the Black forest area in Switserland. It’s a fine example of the great craftsmanship the area got famous for and shows beautiful details like the rucksack the bear is wearing! The side of the carving is marked with rhonegletscher – 2300 m.

After more than a century the ashtray still remains in good condition and only shows minor signs of wear.
Over time it acquired a subtle patina which only adds more charm to it!

This cleaver was hand forged in the late 1800’s and has been used for butchering and cutting meat.
Its handle is bonded with leather laces.

This unique bag is made out of old Swiss army gear. The bag itself is made out of a wool military issued blanket, the leather shoulder straps are reused from other bags and are attached with to leather bayonet sheath pieces.
It also features a zipper and a small compartment inside.
Not only is this one of a kind bag good for the evirement, it’s also timeless and of life lasting quality!
The bag still remains in good condition and eventhough it’s made of reused materials it is very sturdy and will last for years!

This intrument was built in the 1950’s and is a perfect example of old school craftmanship!
It comes with it’s original travel bag.

Except of minimal treatment I decided to leave the banjo in its original condition and leave it up to the next owner to either keep it that way or fully restore it.

The belt features a leather sheath with 4 meat knives, which are all from the early 1900’s. Some of the knives still show brand marks.
The belt features two beautiful bull shaped buckles in front.

Some of the knives have been sharpened so many times the blades slowly worn smaller. The painting dates back to the 1930’s and shows a bearded hunter man wearing a hat and smoking a pipe.
It was painted in Germany on a hardboard pallet.
The man’s stately appearance and stern look combined with the dark and earthy tones give this painting its characteristic charm.
The painting comes in a beautiful gilded frame.
It would be the perfect piece to display in your hunting cabin, lodge or home!
