Antique 19th century Victorian coffin handles
These iron handles were once mounted on actual coffins and got dug up with the excavation of old grave sites. Decorated with skulls and crossbones they have this gothic design which makes them very characteristic!
After being under the ground for more than a century the iron oxidiced and shows a lovely patina that only adds more crude charm to them.
These decorative pieces would be perfect to display into your cabinet of curiosities but they would also make unique handles to mount on your cabinet or drawers!
All five handles have been cleaned and treated with antique wax to give the surface a protective layer and a subtle glossy finish. Five of them still hinge properly, sadly one is stuck due to all the rust that built up under the ground.
