Antique 20’s Art Deco inkwell
This unique inkwell was made by Frecourt in France in the 1920’s and has a typical Art Deco design.
It was designed in the shape of an eagle’s head that can be hinged open and fit a small ink bottle inside.
It also features a nicely colored marble base.

Antique 1920′ portrait of a moustached gentleman
The realistic portrait was skillfully drawn with graphite and shows a gentleman with an imposing moustache.
The man’s stately appearance and stern look give this drawing it’s characteristic charm.
It was framed by the L.F. Reeker Frame & Mirror Factory in Amsterdam.
This portrait would be the perfect decor piece to any gentleman’s room/shop or barber shop!
After almost a century the portrait still remains in good condition and only shows minor signs of wear.

Antique early 1900’s black forest folk art mask
This small mask was hand carved out of wood and seems to be inspired by fairytales as it shows the creepy facial expression of a mythical creature or gnome!

Antique huge early 1900’s carousel panel
This huge panel once decorated the top rounding boards of a carousel that stood on fairs in the early 1900’s.
It shows a charming, hand painted western scene with two native americans riding horses through the prairie.
The scene was was painted on canvas stretched on a large white painted wooden frame.
The back of the frame has been provided with hooks and eyes with which the panels were originally attached to each other, making it easy to mount the piece on a wall or on chains.
Due to its size and the naive painteing technique that was used this panel is very characteristic and impressive!
This unique and impressive panel would be the perfect decor piece to display inside a steak house, ranch or man cave!
After more than a century the canvas and frame show a lovely distressed patina that only adds to the panel’s character! The panel shows signs of wear like tiny cracks in the paint surface. At the back the panel has been provided with a vertical plank to tension the canvas.
The wooden frame has been coated with transparent lacquer to give the surface a protective layer and a glossy finish. The canvas has been cleaned from dust and filth and has been coated with varnish afterwards.

Antique 1922′ oil portait of a Belgian WWI soldier
The painting dates back to the early 1900s and shows a moustached soldier wearing his Belgian uniform with charateristic Adrian helmet featuring the lions head in front.
Just below collar of his jacket the painting was signed and dated by the artist saying “Ysero – 22”.
The man’s stately appearance and stern look combined with the dark and earthy tones give this painting it’s characteristic charm.

Petrus Forestus (Pieter van Foreest, 1521 – 1597) was one of the most important medical professionals of the Netherlands and used to be the personal physician of William the Silent in the 1500’s. He got the nickname “Dutch Hippocrates”.

Antique early 1900’s British wooden barber shop trade sign
This unique piece used to decorate the ‘Winston Taylor’ barber shop saying “Since 1892 – A Cut of Quality”.
The wooden sign was custom made, painted in red with golden stripes and decorated with actual scissors in the middle as a recognizable symbol.
Antique trading signs like this one are extremely rare, rarely have I come across one as beautiful and characteristic as this sign!
It would be the perfect eye catcher for a barber shop, man cave or your home!
After a century the signboard shows a patina due to time and wear that, in my opinion, makes it even more characteristic!
