    Antique 1930s Mountaineering Crampons

    These antique climbing crampons are a rare and historically significant piece of early alpinism. The hinged 10-point design was developed by British engineer and mountaineer Oscar Eckenstein, and this particular pair was hand-forged by the renowned Italian blacksmith Henry Grivel, whose collaboration with Eckenstein revolutionized mountaineering equipment. The crampons are marked with the company name and the year 1936.

    A truly decorative piece of musical history — perfect for adding character to your lodge, cabin, or eclectic interior.

    The banjolin shows signs of wear consistent with age and use, which add to its authentic vintage appeal. It has been gently cleaned and treated with antique wax to preserve the surface and enhance its natural patina.

    Aside from this minimal care, I chose to leave the instrument in its original condition, allowing the next owner to either enjoy it as-is or restore it further according to their preference.

    Please note: the hinges on the hard case are somewhat delicate due to age.
