Antique Early 1900’s Black Forest Desk Accessories
€250.00Antique early 1900’s black forest desk accosseries
These unique pieces of folk art were made in the Black Forest area of Germany or Switserland.
They’re great examples of the craftsmanship the area got famous for and show beautiful details. They’re all crafted out of piece of red deer-, fallow deer- and roe deer antlers.
The set includes:
– an inkwell with pen holder
– a roe antler handle letter opener
– a marble paper weight with stag handle
– a wooden picture frame with stag decorations
– an ink blobber
The set would be the perfect addition to display on your desk or in your cabinet of curiosities!
After more than a century the set still remains in good condition but shows signs of wear.
Over the years all pieces acquired a nice patina which only adds more charm to them.
Sadly the two porselein ink jars broke but have been glued back together.
The bottom of the horn handle of the letter opener shows a little damage as well.
