Antique 19th Century Black Forest folk art inkwell
This antique inkwell was traditionally hand carved out of a single piece of hard wood in the Black forest area in Switserland. It’s a fine example of the great craftsmanship the area got famous for and shows beautiful details like the decorations. The inkwell features a saint bernard figure and a wooden trunk fitting a tiny blue glass inkwell inside.
This unique inkwell would be the perfect decor piece to display on your desk or in your cabin!
After more than a century the carving still remains in good condition but shows subtle signs of wear. In my eyes the patina it acquired over the years only adds more charm to it!
The inkwell is treated with antique wax to give the wooden surface a subtle glossy finish.

This unique tobacco pipe was carved out of meerschaum and is shaped like detailed eagle claws holding the bowl. It was made in the late 1800’s by the French manufacturer of Chacom Ecume Veritable in the village of Avignon.
It would be the perfect addition to any pipe collection or cabinet of curiosities!
After more than a century the pipe is in used condition and shows signs of wear. Over the years it acquired a nice patina that only adds more charm to it! It seems like the stem was glued on to the shank.
