Antique early 1900’s Black Forest folk art bear carving
This antique bear figure was traditionally hand carved out of one single piece of wood in the Black forest area in Germany and Switserland. It’s a fine example of the great craftsmanship the area got famous for and shows beautiful details.
This bear carving would be the perfect addition to decorate your desk, or shelf in your cabin with!
After more than a century the wood carving shows minor signs of wear.
In my eyes the patina it acquired due to time only adds to it’s charm!

This poster was part of a series called ‘Animals in their Natural Habitat’.
It was designed in the 1920’s by several Dutch artist and published by Wolters in Groningen.
It shows the anatomy of species living in the North Sea.
For almost 80 years the poster has served for education purposes in a Dutch primary school!
This vintage poster would be the perfect addition to any vintage style interior!
After almost a century the poster remains in good condition but shows minimal signs of wear and age.

Vintage 60’s European badger taxidermy mount – ‘Meles meles’
This beautiful animal was professionally mounted in very accurate, natural looking proportions and position.

Vintage 40’s Dutch oil painting
This charming scene was painted on canvas and shows a lion and lioness stalking their prey from a distance.

After 80 years the painting remains in good condition but shows signs of wear. Sadly there’s a small cut in the right upper corner of the canvas. There’s also a little damage on the upper left corner of the frame.

After almost 80 years the poster remains in used condition and shows some signs of wear and tear. On the top of the back some tape repairs have been done.

Antique early 1900’s French brass cased pocket compass
It features a brass case and cut glass cover.
On the side the compass is equipped with a transit stud for locking the needle.
The compass is in a good, functional condition.
Due to use & time its brass case shows a distressed patina that only adds charm!
It’s still functional and points north easily!
This compass would be ideal to take on a hike, to display as small decor or to wear as an unique pendant!
It measures 38 mm in diameter

Antique 30′s Swiss army issued tornister kit
The military issued set consists of:
– 1932′ cowhide mountaineers rucksack, also know as the Haaraffe tornister.
– 1938′ mess kit
– 1930′ bread bag
These rucksacks were introduced to the Swiss Army in 1898 and remained unchanged until 1950 because of their decent design.
The bag features multible compartments inside that can be folded open and a small compartment on front.
The rucksack has an outside covering made of cowhide, this is from where the bag got it’s German nickname ‘haaraffe tornister’, which means ape backpack.
The inside of the backpack is lined with canvas.
After 80 years the kit remains in worn condition and shows some traces of wear as it stood the test of being used for years. Over the years it acquired a tornister acquired a distressed patina and shows some bald spots.

Antique early 1900’s French hanging cabinet
This small cabinet once hung in a workplace and was filled with all sorts of small parts and tools! Its naive rustic style makes it very charming!
This piece would once again still be ideal to store all sorts of small belongings but would also be a very decorative addition to any rustic interior!
After more than a century the cabinet remains in worn condition and shows signs of use and wear! Over the years it acquired a lovely patina that only adds to its rough charm!

Antique Early 1900’s compass multitool
With multiple functions the ‘Parisienne’ was a clever & ideal survival tool; once folded out it can be used as binoculars, it features a compass and a small mirror that can be used for making fire and signals. It was made in the German state of Bavaria.
It’s an unique curiosity that would be the perfect gift for any hiking fanatic!
The tool is in a good, functional condition.
After more than a century it’s case, mirror and glass cover acquired an used patina.
