This unique piece of folk art was traditionally hand carved out of hard wood in the Black forest area in Germany or Switserland. It’s a fine example of the great craftsmanship the area got famous for and shows beautiful details. The bear figure is holding a brass bowl that can be used as an ashtray.

Vintage 1940′ WWII era Swiss army rucksack
This rucksack was issued by the Swiss army in the 1940’s.
The bag features one large compartment and a smaller one in front, and multiple leather straps that can be used to carry around all sorts of gear.
It’s made of sturdy canvas while its bottom and fastening straps are made of strong saddle leather.
The bag would still be the ideal everyday rucksack and would also come in handy on day hikes!
After almost 80 years the bag remains in used condition and shows signs of wear and use. The bag stood the test of being used for years and will last just as long!
The canvas has been cleaned, the leather parts have been cleaned with saddle soap and treated with grease.
