Vintage 30’s leather tool bag
This bag was presumably used by a mechanic to carry his tools.
The bag was made of strong saddle leather and features one large compartment and a shoulder strap.
This stylish bag would still be perfect for daily use!
After almost a century the bag shows signs of wear and use.
Some of the stitching has come loose but have been repaired with pieces of wire.
The rugged patina it got over the years only adds to its character by giving it a rough touch!
The leather has been cleaned with saddle soap and treated with grease afterwards.

This antique pistol was found in an old barn on the Italian island of Sicily and appears to have a special connection to the local history! Made sometime in the 19th century, this weapon should originally have had two much longer barrels and a stock as this once was a double barrel percussion rifle. With its stock and barrels sawed off combined with some other makeshift adjustments, the rifle was converted into a pistol making it useless for hunting, but suddenly a much more efficient weapon for short ranges in an urban environment!
Nicknamed ‘the Lupara’, literally meaning ‘for the wolf’ and referring to it’s original hunting use, makeshift pistols and shotguns like this one were often used by gang members of the Sicilian Mafia!
Considering its background, this weapon was most likely used for criminal, Mafia related practices and might even have taken lives.
Because of its dark past, mixed vibes remain attached to this rare relic though I still consider it a true piece of history that would be the ultimate collectors item to the real Godfather fan!
After more than a century the pistol remains in worn condition and shows a patina obtained due to use and time. It’s not in functional order, it can’t be used to fire anymore.

Antique 19th century American whale flensing knife
This crude blade was hand forged in the mid 1800’s and served a messy purpose.
It was made in New Bedford and was used in the Nantucket whaling industry to cut off blubber in the decompositioning of a killed whale.
Although I hope we all agree that hunting these majestic creatures is a horrible occasion, the whaling industry has been very important to the American history and economy. Back then the oil that was obtained from whales was used to produce many everyday products such as lamp oil, candles, and soap and therefor was essential. Sadly overhunting the arctic seas for centuries has been devastating to the populations of many whale species. Because of its dark past, mixed vibes remain attached to this rare relic though I still consider it a true piece of history that comes with loads of adventurous tales!
It’s crudely hand-wrought and forged in iron with a cone to attach a wooden handle.
This relic would be an unique piece to add to your whaling collection or cabinet of curiosities!
Even after almost two centuries this knife still remains in good condition! The iron surface of the blade only shows some minor wear due to use and time.
