Vintage 50’s Swedish army issued M1909 winter parka
Originally these sheepskin lined coats were issued by the Swedish army to their troops to withstand the freezing winter tempretures of Scandinavia!
These parkas have gained iconic status for their rugged design and quality! They are called ‘Livpäls’ by the Swedes which means ‘a coat for life’ and they seem to live up to that name!
The jacket is made by de Swedish military supplier Mats Larsson.
It’s the ultimate winter coat and would still be the perfect piece to wear during the cold days!
After 70 years the parka still remains in dead stock condition and doesn’t seem to be worn much.
