Vintage 50’s German Oil Painting of Wolves Chasing a Deer
This painting shows a roughly painted forest with a pack of wolves chasing a red deer through the snow.
The scene has been painted on stretched canvas and is signed by it’s German artist who named the painting “Hungrige Wölfe”, which is German for ‘Hungry wolves’.
The lovely winter scene in combination with the earthy tones and rough painting technique that was used give this painting its characteristic charm.
It would fit perfectly decorating your cabin or lodge!
After 70 years the painting shows signs of wear due to time but still remains in good condition.
A small repair has been done to the back of the canvas.
