This unique piece of folk art was traditionally hand carved out of hard wood in the Black forest area in Germany or Switserland. It’s a fine example of the great craftsmanship the area got famous for and shows beautiful details! The tiny trunk on the right can be opened and fits a small ink bottle inside.

This inkwell would be the perfect piece to display on your desk, in your collection or cabinet of curiosities!

After more than a century the inkwell still remains in good condition and only shows minor signs of wear.
Over time it acquired a subtle patina which only adds more charm to it!
