Antique early 1900’s Black Forest folk art bust of an old man
This antique bust was traditionally hand carved out of a single piece of hard wood in the Black forest area in Germany or Switserland. It’s a fine example of the great craftsmanship the area got famous for and shows beautiful details like the mans moustache and the tobacco pipe he is smoking!
This bust would be the perfect decor piece to display on your desk or in your cabin!
After more than a century the carving shows minor signs of wear.
In my eyes the patina it acquired due to time only adds to it’s charm!
