Antique 30’s leather dog muzzle

This leather device was fastened around the mouth of a dog to prevent it from biting.

After almost a century the muzzle remains in good condition but shows signs of wear.
Over the years it acquired a nice patina which only adds more charm to it!
The leather has been treated with leather grease and antique wax to give the surface a protective layer and a subtle glossy finish.
