This tiny bear figure was traditionally hand carved out of one single piece of wood in the Black forest area in Germany and Switserland. It’s a fine example of the great craftsmanship the area got famous for and shows beautiful details. The bear is holding a tiny brass weight.

After more than a century the wood carving shows minor signs of wear.
In my eyes the patina it acquired due to time only adds to it’s charm!
