This antique statue was traditionally hand carved out of a single piece of hard wood in the Black forest area in Germany or Switserland. It’s a fine example of the great craftsmanship the area got famous for and shows beautiful details like its tiny glass eyes!
This chamois would be the perfect decor piece to display on your desk or in your cabin!
After more than a century the carving shows signs of wear. After more than a century the carving shows signs of wear. Unfortunately both tips of its horns and a piece of its left ear have broken off.
In my eyes the patina it acquired over the years only adds more charm to it!
