Antique Late 19th Century Goberg Chandelier

This Arts & Crafts style steel chandelier was hand-forged by renowned German iron craftsman Hugo Berger, who founded his first metal workshop in 1895 and gained international recognition for his distinctive decorative ironwork under the name “Goberg.”

The chandelier features four candle holders and is adorned with elegant curved details and a stylized ship at its center—an eye-catching motif that adds a unique maritime character to the piece.

This rare chandelier would make a striking focal point in any interior or antique collection.

Even after more than a century, the chandelier remains in solid condition. Over time, it has developed a beautiful oxidized patina that only enhances its historic charm. The surface has been treated with a clear varnish to provide a protective layer and a subtle glossy finish.
