Antique early 1900’s portrait engraving by Willem Linnig Junior
Willem Linnig Junior was a Belgian painter and engraver who lived from 1842 til 1890.
This engraving shows a portrait of his father, Willem Linnig, and is signed in the upper left corner.
It’s features a passepartour and a vintage oak frame.
The stately appearance of the portrait makes it a very decorative and characteristic piece!

This unique sign was hand forged by a black smith in the 1800’s. It presumably once decorated the facade of a shop or factory and shows the letters W, C and R.

Also the cream coloured paint cracked over time, giving its surface a beautiful pattern. Sadly the right tips of the ‘W’ and ‘C’ are broken off.

This Arts & Crafts style matchbox holder was made by the Dutch metalware factory of Metawa in the city of Tiel.
