This leather bag was issued during the second world war by the German army. It was designed to carry maps and documents.

After 80 years the bag still remains in good condition but shows signs of wear.

After 70 years the bag remains a worn condition. Over the years it acquired a nice patina that only adds to its rugged charater!
Sadly the previous owner decided to put his name on the leather top piece on the back with a black marker. Later he tried to remove it unsuccessfully..
The bag stood the test of being used for years and will probably last for some years to come!

This early glacier cleat was once part of a pair and was used by mountaineers so the spikes would prevent them from slipping as they wore them underneath their shoes.
It was hand forged in the 1800’s in the Alps.
