Antique 1910’s leather backpack
Presumably the unique bag was used to carry around books by a school child.
The front cover of the bag is made out of cowhide. It’s equipped with two shoulder straps making it possible to wear it as a backpack.
It design is stylish & timeless and would be the perfect everyday bag to carry around your tablet or books!
After more than a century the bag still remains in good condition but shows signs of wear. The patina it acquired over time only adds charm to its rugged character!
The leather has been cleaned and treated with leather grease.

Antique 1910’s WWI trench art ashtray
This unique ashtray was crafted by hand out of a brass artillery shell!
To escape the daily stress of war and boredom in the trenches during the First World War, soldiers would distract themselves through the production of art. Appropriately named “Trench art”, soldiers would express their feelings by hand crafting sculptures and other decorative items by repurposing materials that were available to them; such as bullets, shell casings and ammunition boxes. Limited in both these materials, and tools, soldier had to be very resourceful, which gives the artform its rough and naive character.
This special piece can still be used but would also make the perfect addition to any WWI collection!
After more than a century the ashtray remains in worn condition. Over the years it acquired a beautiful oxidized patina that only adds to its rough charm! It has been treated with antique wax to give the surface a protective layer and a subtle glossy finish.

It shows the anatomy of species living in the North Sea.
For almost 80 years the poster has served for education purposes in a Dutch primary school!
This vintage poster would be the perfect addition to any vintage style interior!
