This unpleasant looking collar was worn by hunting and shepherd dogs to prevent them from being bitten by wolves. The spikes protect their necks in case they’re attacked.

After almost a century the collar remains in worn condition. It acquired a oxidized patina that only adds charm to it! It is treated with antique wax to give the surface a protective layer and a subtle glossy finish.
