Antique 20’s lion paper weight
This Art Deco style paper weight is made of zamac and features a marble base.
It’s a copy of the monument made by Frédéric Auguste BARTHOLDI (1834-1904) to commemorate the Siege of Belfort. On the side it says ‘aux defenseurs de belfort 1870-71’, it was made by M. Schmitt in Belfort – France.
It would be the perfect piece to display on your desk!
After a century the paper weights still remains in good condition but shows signs of wear.
Over the years it acquired a nice patina which only adds more charm to it!
