Vintage 60s French Canadienne coat
This rugged Canadienne coat, also known as the “barnstromer”, was crafted by Dickson in France during the 1960s, a timeless design made to withstand harsh winter temperatures. Lined with soft sheepskin, it offers both exceptional warmth and comfort, while the outer layer is made of durable brown canvas for a sturdy, utilitarian look.
Both practical and highly collectible, this coat is a fine example of mid century French workwear and would make a striking addition to any vintage wardrobe or collection.
After 60 years, the coat remains in good, wearable condition, showing signs of age and use that add authentic vintage charm. Over time, it has developed a subtle patina that enhances its rugged character. Sadly the two middle chest buttons are missing on both sights.
