Vintage red deer shoulder mount – ‘Cervus elaphus’

A beautiful vintage red deer shoulder mount (Cervus elaphus), professionally prepared and mounted following a successful hunt in Peyrusse, central France. The trophy is mounted on a traditional wooden shield and features an original brass plaque at the base engraved with: “Peyrusse (15) – 04.11.2006”.

With its impressive antlers and natural appearance, this mount makes a striking focal point above a fireplace or as part of a rustic interior, hunting lodge, country house, cabin, or curated trophy collection.

The piece is approximately 20 years old and remains in good vintage condition, displaying the expected signs of age and long-term display. Both ears show some minor wear, consistent with the mount’s age; however, this is discreet and barely noticeable when displayed on a wall. The antlers, fur, and overall presentation remain attractive and well preserved.
