Vintage 40’s WWII Swedish army issued M1909 winter parka
Originally these sheepskin lined coats were issued by the Swedish army to their troops to withstand the freezing winter tempretures of Scandinavia!
These parkas have gained iconic status for their rugged design and quality! They are called ‘Livpäls’ by the Swedes which means ‘a coat for life’ and they seem to live up to that name!
The jacket is made by de Swedish military supplier Mats Larsson.
It is the ultimate winter coat and can still be worn!
After 80 years the parka still remains in good condition and only shows minor signs of wear and use. Over the years it acquired a nice patina that only adds more character to it!
