Antique Early 1900’s Oil Portrait of a Fisherman
Antique early 1900’s oil portait of a fisherman
The painting dates back to the early 20th century and shows a fisherman smoking a clay pipe and wearig traditional clothing including a fishermans hat.
The man’s stately appearance and stern look combined with the earthy tones give this painting it’s characteristic charm.
The portrait was painted on a oak panel and features a baroque style plaster frame.
It would fit perfectly decorating your gentleman’s room, shop or barber shop!
After more than a century the painting acquired a lovely patina that shows minor signs of wear.
The baroque frame once got damaged and glued back together on two corners. This is only noticeable up close.
