Vintage 1960s Tiroler Folk Art Perchten Mask

This hand carved mask is a striking example of Alpine folk craftsmanship and was created for Perchtenlaufen, a traditional custom celebrated in parts of Austria and South Tyrol. It was made by the renowned carving artist H. Reichegger.
